black shell dresser

Love this dresser! I am obsessed with the shell design on the front. The shell deign started being carved into furniture in the Henry IV period and has been a favorite embelishment of mine ever since. This piece is in emaculate condition! The droors are perfect and push in and out so smoothly. It was handpainted black and then distressed to let some of it's beautiful cherry wood show through. It was topped with 2 coats of polyurethane. I used its original droor pulls but added 4 crystal knobs to add some whymsical contrast. I am asking $225 and it measures 34"tall 18"deep and 65"long. If you love it and gotta have it call me at 480-298-0715 or email me at  Thanks

kitchen table and chairs

Finally a kitchen table!! I have been wanting to refinish one for my blog forever but haven't found one that met my standards...until now! I love the rounded rectangular shape of this table and its chunky curvy leg. I painted the entire table an Antique white and heavily distressed the legs to add character. I left the top a little more solid and just lightly distressed around the edges. The chairs have an amazing wicker back and I re-uoholstered the seats with stain resistant burlap. The chairs (like the legs of the table) are also heavily ditressed. The table and all four chairs were then covered in Three coats of polyurethane. This table is beautiful and the pictures really don't do it justice. I also am able to help find two arm chairs to use as captains chairs if you are interested. I am asking $195 for all of it together.

Height is 30" Length is 60" Width is 36"

If you love it and gotta have it email me at or call me at 480-298-0715 thanks!!!

a big girl bedroom

It is about time for an update...don't ya think!!?? My little family has had a crazy year last year and did A LOT of moving so now that we are finally settled in a place we will be for a while I have made it my New Years resolution to keep this blog up to date! With "fun find friday" and some give aways and of course all of the yummy things I am selling.:)

I also have some pics of our new house and how we are settling in. My daughter turns 3 in February and so it was time to ditch the crib and get her a big girl bed for the new house. I knew i wanted whit and gold stripes on one wall of her room and the rest just sort of fell into place....

I refinished a king headboard to make her bed a day bed and found fabric on sale at The scrapbook store in mesa to make some Anthropology insppired pillows. I was going for a lot of mixed and matched paterns and bright pops of colors. I left all of the furniture white so that it wouldn't be too crazy and so that the whole room would have a good common denomonater. I hope you enjoyed it!
